Mark Spickett is an experienced M&A and Corporate Strategy Executive who has successfully managed numerous domestic and international deals in the software, hardware, digital marketing, consulting services and medical sectors for Fortune 500 and SME companies.

Mark played a key role in developing Microsoft’s acquisition management processes, was the lead integration programme manager on deals ranging from $10M up to $6.5B; including Danger, Whale Communications, Sybari, Groove, Kidaro and Calista and was a part of the aQuantive integration leadership team. Recently, Mark’s activities included programme managing the acquisition of Filipino based MediCall for Cognizant Technology Solutions Inc and developing sell-side strategies for a European based Software Company. Prior to moving to the US, Mark successfully drove the integration of Visio Inc across Europe and then subsequently led the $300m Business Tools division. Mark is an appointed SME Growth Coach to the UK Government’s SME business growth initiative and an Advisor to Microsoft’s Venture Accelerator programme. A UK national and US Green Card holder, Mark has lived in Seattle, WA for the past 11 years with his family. He holds an MBA from Cass Business School, London, an Honours Degree in Accounting & Finance and a Diploma in Marketing and is an avid cyclist who has completed 6 200+mi rides, a wine enthusiast and holds a private pilot’s license.

  • Transaction management training: Helping Business and functional leadership teams to acquire the skills and tools that enables them to uncover the real value created by acquisitions.
  • Transaction management process improvement: Assessing and benchmarking the effectiveness of existing acquisition management processes, developing and implementing next stage improvement plans.
